When faced with a story that spans multiple locations and different organizations, a single image opener would simply not work. That is where a more themed approach seemed to be the best option. Playing with a stylized but relatively recognizable "desktop" aesthetic, the opener to this feature package aims to quickly bring the reader into the "tech" mindset.

Throughout the rest of the feature, spot illustrations made specifically for each section further drive the point home. Over-all, this was a fun one to put together, even if it was not the cover story.
